What is Chikankari ?
Chikankari (process of chikan) was basically invented in Lucknow(India).It was developed more fastely in the period of Mughals and consisted of style inspired by persians. Lucknow in India grew into a international market foe its this incredible style. Today it is popular in many countries.Chikan began as a type of white-on-white (or whitework) embroidery. Traditionally, white threads were used on semi-transparent muslin cloth. However, with the advent of newer fabric types, and changing demands and fashions, chikankari is now also being done on a variety of fabrics including synthetic ones. Chikankari is also available now in various colours.

Chikakari is an integral part of Indian culture since 655 ADC and was strongly rekindled by Moghul queen Noor Jehan in later date. It not only enjoyed patronization of the Moguls but also attained perfection as the exquisite needlework and hand work underwent further honing and refinement. Admired the world over today, the art has trickled into every section of fashion world.
Any specfic wash / care instructions?
Chikankari - mostly all the apparels are made of cotton and you can be just washed in a regular washer and dried. However, we recommend that you hand wash and hang dry. To make it very crisp, please use starch spray and then iron it inside out.
